Re: Is our front office as good as we think?
I read in another article that Sean Payton said "No Comment' when asked about Fortt. I think this one is a head scratcher because we really don't know whether he will be productive at Cincinnati or not.
Sean Payton's no comment is a dead giveaway for "something happened and we're not going to discuss it with you or anyone for the sake of the reputation of the kid." He may end up starting for the Bengals or somewhere. May also come out he some other problem that could trip him up later. Regardless, the Saints didn't feel it worth their time to babysit him and probably felt another team could give him a fresh chance and he could, maybe, succeed or grow up there. I think it says our front office are a bunch of good-natured people who want to see the kid have a second chance somewhere else without saying something about him that shouldn't be said because the kid could overcome it. Finally, the ONLY reason this is a mystery is because it's the bye week and there is hardly any Saints news whatsoever. |
