we are 1-4 as favorites, and 0-3 as road favorites
I'll take being a dog with those odds

Good we will go in hungry , can't let Reggie have any bragging rights.

Nowhere in that article does it say anyone is shocked or surprised that we're a road underdog. Did you even read the article?

Here, I'll make it easy for you.

Yeah, but it's only the 2.5 you typically get for being the home team, so what's that telling ya? It's a pretty even matchup from what I'm seeing ... :).

Reggie's already got bragging rights, ;) ... oh wait, are we still talking about football?

0-3 on the road, we "should" be the underdogs in away games the rest of the season...

Glad someone else mentioned Reggie because I'm real worried about him going off on Sunday. About Reggie: I'll always be dissappointed that we never let Reggie get 20+ carries per game and prove if he's an every down back or not. I think in his prime with us he could've been our Marshall Faulk. Sure hope Ingram is back. We need him vs Detroits front 7.

We couldn't help that, Reggie would never stay healthy here

If he got more than 10 carries a game with us he'd hurt his knee or ankle, it happened plenty of times.

I don't mean this as an attack...on you or on Reggie, but he is not now nor was he ever nor will he ever be Marshal Faulk. We all desperately wanted him to be. He wasn't and he isn't and won't ever be.

True, but he wasn't the bust that many made him out to be either.

He moved on to other teams and was very successful.

Because he matured as a player and quit trying to do too much. Learned to head up field and not try to dance in the backfield like he did here.

And it's not like our run game has suffered after he was traded...

I agree. I never thought we used him right.
He had so few touches that he always tried to do too much when he did get the ball.
He goes elsewhere, gets 100 more touches a year and is suddenly a 1000 yard rusher. Twice.

No I don't think we have suffered at all. It would be nice to have him back but he is not needed.

Reggie was a salary cap victim. We got Sproles to replace Reggie for half the cost. Sproles performed better than Reggie did.

Ironically, Sproles became a salary cap cut too.

The O-line needs to show up in this game or we are gonna get killed. Eight sacks of Teddy Bridgewater?!?!?!? Jesus.

Then again, the Vikes got 4 sacks of Stafford themselves, so...low scoring game, hopefully?

Junyah and Jordan we need you guys ready to go get it.

Should be an interesting game with Suh and Fairly trying to get pressure against our C and gaurds, if we get man-handled up the middle it's going to be a very long day. I don't put much faith in our D from what I have seen but the Lions seem to self destruct from time to time on the O, if they don't it will be a long day also. We've had an extra week to prepare for them, it's our 6th game, time to put up or shut up. I will be watching this 1 close!!

when it goes off as a pick game, you know he's out

I really want to see SJB get some playing time. I think we have a diamond in our back pocket but are afraid to take it out. Time will tell, but I hope we don't sit on him for too long.

Is White and Robinson really doing a good enough job to hold him off... Can't be. Dixon is nice, but he is more of a slot guy IMO, whereas SJB is a edge CB and would get beat in the slot too often.

Edit: since I am ranting ill add this...

Where the hell is Powell? This guy might be the best athlete we have on D yet #91 gets playing time over him... what has #91 done to deserve it?

I want these guys on the field... Payton make it happen!!! lol

I am starting to think some of the injuries have something to do with Payton not allowing a player to play nicked up. I see other teams with a roster full of hurt players trotting back out every game. On our team you stub a toe or get a hangnail your out a month.

Doesn't stay healthy in DET either, was out vs the Vikes ... Bell/Collins do his heavy lifting for him anyway, :). Bush'll wind up being the best RB for the Lions since Barry Sanders, if he isn't already.

You don't want to see them unless we're completely out of the division race.

You think #91 is more of a finished product than Powell.... ok....

JG was raw too, but for years people here said he was our best pass rusher sitting on the bench...

Sometimes raw is cooked enough. (I like Sushi)

No surprise. This team hasn't shown any evidence that it will show up in Detroit and take care of business this year.
As far as reggie, it will be hard to watch if he "goes off" against the Saints.

I said no such thing, I quoted Gordon Ramsay saying their raw, I didn't say #91 was more of a finished product, the coaching staff are saying that by putting him in the rotation.

Reggie had an opportunity to prove he was an every down back when we played Seattle in 2010. He was the only decent running back we had left on the roster that season. He couldn't get it done. That's the reason we drafted Mark Ingram. He would have had a great chance to get 20 carries in that game but as I've already said, he could not get it done.

It is strange that 2 UDFA's that were a bit of a surprise to even make the team are starting ahead of our #2 and #5 draft picks.

Considering they haven't done anything to prove it, I am surprised.

#91 wasn't really impressive even in the preseason yet everyone talked about him because of the story.

Dixon was good in the preseason but has really struggled during his few snaps during the regular season.

I wonder if there is some internal struggle going on between Loomis and the coaching staff... interesting.

Not to be rude, but how would you know? Have you been going to practices and in meetings or is that just an unproven opinion?
