So, I think that Andy Reid's decission to play all backups at every position is an insult to the NFL. Shouldn't every game be played with an intent to win. This isn't pre-season anymore. This is crunch time and five other football team's fans were pulling for a Ram's loss. Sure his team is in control of its own destiny and can do what it wants, but this was the most blatant blown game that I've ever seen, pro, college, or high school. There was clearly no intent at victory by the eagles team, and I hope that the eagles can't get it up in a month when it counts, just as a little payback for the crap they put out on the field in a proffesional game on prime time television.

It\'s frustrating but considering the history of the Eagles\' team, he probably made the right move. It makes our game vs. the Panthers more nerve-racking, but he the Eagles can\'t afford to lose McNabb or Staley before the playoffs.

The Saints control the tie breaker with the RAMS if they do not win the division. As far as not playing McNabb, I think it was a poor decision on thier part. Since Owens is out a lot of reps are needed between McNabb and his recievers...

Check the \"Playoff Scenario (need more help than previouisly thought?\" thread. There is a possibility (not too remote) that the Rams win a tie-breaker with the Saints when they don\'t win the division.

Agreed. BTW it doesn\'t make any difference about the Saints/Panthers game as the loser was out in any case. It was, is, and will be a playoff game for both teams.

What makes it nerve racking for the Saints is that the Rams amazingly can still win the NFC West. So the second most critical game for us now is the Seattle/Falcon game. The third is the Rams/Jets. If Seattle loses and the Rams win, then the Rams win the West. Since Seattle is already in, and Minnesota is in with a win, then the Saints-Panthers winner is shut out if Minnesota, the Rams, and the Falcons all win.

All of this would have been moot if the Eagles came to play last night. Clearly they weren\'t.

SFIAH - who is rooting for the Saints, Jets, Seattle, and definitely Minnetsota.

Super Bowl Championships: New Orleans Saints:1, Carolina:0, Atlanta Chokers: STILL ZERO

Only Atlanta choked in an unchokable situation... Life is definitely good.

Hey, I am sure you know Halo but Staley plays for the Steelers now. I think you meant Westbrook?

The Eagles were lucky that game was in St Louis. I imagine Rams fans were disappointed they didn\'t get to see a game, but glad to come away with a win.

Nevertheless, if I\'d paid hard earned money to watch that crap I\'d be livid. I wonder how teams would react if fans boycotted \"meaningless\" games the same way. I wish it would happen- an empty stadium in the regular season, as a backlash against teams intentionally putting on a terrible show.

I agree, games should be played with a win in mind.

That said, it works both ways. Atlanta did the Saints a favour on 26th December - they could have made that game a lot harder for us.
