Can we stop the Ab vs. Jake
1. If u r a true fan u will support AB. U have to support both the team and Ab, not one or the other.
2. It is not fair to compare the two. AB has had more talented skill position players, while jake has had better o-line(even with their injuries),better defense, and better offensive scheme. 3.No matter who wins this week the debate will continue. I just hope it is the Saints. If Jake was with us i would support him, but he is not and i dont. I hope we are in his @$$ all day long, but with our line it will prob be them in AB's @$$ all day long. i think i said stop the AB vs Jake threads and I just started one. |

Can we stop the Ab vs. Jake
Guys, everyone\'s tired of the Brooks vs. Delhomme debate. Members need to be extra careful where they tread here, if I find that it\'s starting up just to be an annoyance I will have to start pressing buttons again.
This has been going on for 2 years on here and I personally, along with many many many others who emailed me this morning, am sick of it. [Edited on 12/28/2004 by Halo] |

Jake Suck/AB DA MAN WURD!! or that other piece of magnificience AB SUCKS/Jake\'s DA MAN WURD!! YOU IS RACIST!! NO! I ISN\'T! SAINT BE GO TO DA SUPERBLOW!! ENGLISH SUCK!! You know with negotiations like these we could accomplish world peace. I\'d be willing to nominate some of these jewels to the United Nations accords. Halo, you are never, ever going to defeat ignorance nor stupidity. Not on a message board at least. Both sides are totally convinced of the \"rightness\" of their message and will post till fingers are bloody doing so. Until, AB leaves New Orleans this debate will continue to rage. Some, nay, many believe that it is a white vs black issue. Some believe it is a leadership style issue, while others believe that it is a managment issue. The bright side of the AB vs Jake argument on this board is, however, that posts are done with a modicum of intelligence, forethought, and civility. The same is not true on SR.COM; NewOrleansSaints.COM; RadioFreeBnG.com; or NOPF.com. Face it, while it is maddening, here the argument is done with class and grace by most, if not all. Happy New Year to all. RDOX |

Can we stop the Ab vs. Jake
well i think like this and im sure any of u guys really care at all. but i liked delhomme from his first start under ditka. i remember calling my pop and asking him if he had seen any of the game. i juts thought then as much as i do now he had moxy. he has a tom brady or brett favre type thing. what that thing is im not sure. now dont get me wrong im not calling him tom brady or brett favre just that he reminds me of those two guys. brooks has the ability to be a pretty passer. and i do beliebvehe will be even if it isnt with us. the one thing i think he lacks and if he doesnt pick up is leadership. he seems to pack things in sometimes and not give his all. im not sure he will ever be able to get that but if he does he can be a really good starter. as far as scheme i think that does play a huge part. look at aj feely when he was with philly and look at him now. some of its coaching some of it is the talent aroung you. not absolutely at the skilled positions either. o line is even bigger in my mind. i think philly has a great o line as does kc. so we will see but i hope they will both continue to be good in this league or get better. i just hope jake has one bad game.

Well i dread to say this but yes Brooks is the only qb to throw for 3,000 yards 4 times in a row and has 106 touchdowns as a Saint. Manning had 115 point is Brooks is the best qb the Saints ever had. Sorry but true I would rather have Brooks over these qbs anyday.

Jeff Blake was 7-4 as a Saints starter widows. Brooks was 3-3 in the same season, including the playoff win.

There is no debate. Aaron Brooks is what he is. A decent QB who needs his team to rally around him. He will not be one to carry the team on his shoulders during the down times. He has the ability to kick it up a notch, but on the whole, he is very inconsistant. With Brooks I never count out the Saints when time is left on the clock, but he scares me when there is time left.
Jake Delhomme is on his way to becoming an elite QB. Jake can put a team on his shoulders and ride out a bad game to make it a win. Jake is very special. This dude never quits. Despite the somewhat inconsistant play, Jake is usually nails during crunch time. This guy can give up a fumble, or an INT, and will comeback the next time for a TD. He is rarely rattled, and he is always ready to comeback! spkb25- I was at the Superdome on the day that Jake made his first NFL start. It was Mike Ditka\'s last home game as a coach. John Madden and Pat Summerall was calling the game. (I seen them in the press box). The 2-12 Saints vs the Cowboys. I thought the Saints had no chance at winning the game. Jake threw 2 TD\'s, the Saints upsetted the Cowboys 31-24. |
