ATL, CLE, DET - we literally folded at the end.

DAL - never got off the bus.

MIN and TB, both at home - did enough to win, TB; hard fought, full of mistakes.

Nearing the midpoint of our season, it's becoming clear that something is missing this year. Is it heart, is is killer instinct? Regardless, this disappointing season has been a TOTAL TEAM EFFORT.

BUT - all is not lost. Yet....

1-1 in the division. 6 of our next 10 at home.

Oh...good, I don't have to start a thread, it was already started. I came to this board to start a thread kinda like this one.

This is about the 3rd or 4th time that we have snatched defeat from the jaws of victory, and I can't help but thinking that with perhaps a bit more luck, coaching, creativity, not throwing picks in your own territory with only a few minutes left while leading...I don't know what it is, but I agree with the OP. Something is missing.

I think Hagan said it best - We'll keep shooting ourselves in the foot until there's nothing left to shoot. Even then, we can limp, roll or drag our butts into a playoff game!

Look at last year, look at the big picture... New England, we collapsed and lost it. Carolina in Carolina, we collapsed at the very end, and lost it. Atlanta, Tampa Bay, and the Eagles in the playoffs, all three times we very nearly collapsed and lost it, but squeaked out a win.

Heck, go all the way back to San Francisco in the playoffs in 2011, what happened there....were in the lead with nine seconds left

This has become a regular pattern with this team, and it's not a temporary slump.

any team can win on any given sunday.

the worst team could beat the best team.

this is not a new phenomenon.

all these statistics and anomalies don't amount to diddley squat.

it is a tough league, with a lot of talent. it is very hard to win ANY game.

What is true however is that any member can come here and post any crappy opinion they want. So....you're still around.

ArtiChokes, man, ArtiChokes. Harvesting them left-and right. This team is a bunch of choke artists right now. It better'd get fixed quick or this new generation of Saints fans will feel the wrath of what us old timers have went through, though the 2011 and 2010 playoffs were pretty mind-blowing in the realms of choking all by themselves.

Offense, defense, special teams, coaching, personnel, doesn't matter...the New Orleans Saints are losing. Losing as a team. They win as one, and they lose as one. Not Corey White loses the game. Not Drew Brees wins the game. Not Hokie Gajan wins/loses the game (with...his...analysis?...).

Its frustrating because he does bring up some good points quite a bit, but that ridiculous notion that the Offense was just as bad as the Defense in the 1st two games is just absurd. It makes it difficult to take him seriously.
