These road games came against teams that actually play well at home.
Dallas: 3-1 at home (6-1 overall)...we got spanked there by 21
Detroit: 3-1 at home (5-2 overall)...we lost by 1 in final minutes...hell, Mighty Green Bay went in there and scored 1 TD...in 4 quarters.
Atlanta: 2-1 at home (2-5 overall)...we lost by 3 in OT
Cleveland: 2-1 at home (3-3 overall)...we lost by 2 on last play of game
In my opinion (ewww), this 2014 Saints team has played as well on the road as in the past with just a couple of plays determining their outcome.
Should we have beaten ATL, CLE, DET? Abso-freakin'-lutely. Last minute break-downs and lapses in concentration cost us those games. Can these things get fixed? Abso-freakin'-lutely. Will they get fixed? A betting man would take Sean Payton to fix it more times than not. We got the right leader for this kind of job...
Great point and this is why we are still #14 in the USA Today Computer Rankings even though we are 2-4 and favored to beat the Packers.
What's that smell you ask?
