What's with all these "unspecified" injuries?

Saints bring back guard/center Eric Olsen - New Orleans Saints Blog - ESPN

The New Orleans Saints brought back guard/center Eric Olsen on Tuesday -- a possible sign that they're expecting starting center Jonathan Goodwin to miss some time with an unspecified leg injury.

Olsen was with the Saints in 2012, playing in all 16 games and making four starts as an extra lineman. He lost his backup swingman job to rookie Tim Lelito last year, however, after being placed on injured reserve with an unspecified injury at the start of the 2013 season.

Olsen (6-foot-3, 305 pounds) caught on briefly with the Pittsburgh Steelers last season but didn't play in a game. He then spent this offseason with the Tennessee Titans before being released.

The 26-year-old was a sixth-round draft pick of the Denver Broncos out of Notre Dame in 2010. But he appeared in only one game with the Broncos before joining the Washington Redskins' practice squad and eventually landing in New Orleans.

Just Payton being Payton when it comes to injuries

Remember when he said that LB we had, has a stinger on his leg
Two hours later he was IR'd for an ACL.

Depth, he knows our system and could fill in at OG or Center if needed.

This was a no-brainer.

both OG are in there 30s and we have an OC that probably needs another year of on the job training. If any of those go down this move makes sense. he knows the system
