Saints WTH? From Wine and Cheese to 7-11 hot dog and slurpe freeze

Saints WTH? From Wine and Cheese to 7-11 hot dog and slurpe freeze

Seriously, WTH happened. I think we all were believing this was the best roster pound for pound the Saints ever put on a field.

Fast forward to now and no pass rush. Certain veteran WR's have not had a catch in weeks. Scoring on us has become easier than riding a unicycle with training wheels.

Why? I heard a lot of reasoning but the general tone is both sides of the ball are at fault. I tend to disagree but not by much. 3 games now decided in the waning minutes with a well rested D. Why can't we put on our big boy pants and finish it. I have no idea at this point.

It really is the Twilight Zone. I'm also about done giving Brees the pass on picks. Love him, but come on. Some of them were not something a veteran does.

Dreamteamitus

We have a roster loaded with talent, but most of that talent has grossly under-achieved this year. They also look like no one is one the same page all game long.

Similar to Hartley missing that 20 yd FG a few years back vs. ATL, I think Colston fumbling on the OT drive in the ATL game this year set us on a different path.

And if that isn't enough, NFL.com has this article.

"Mark Ingram to the Cowboys"

"The Dallas Cowboys are 6-1 thanks to the gutsy effort of running back DeMarco Murray, who is on pace for an unsustainable amount of carries, a number that would surely break the NFL single-season record of 416 set by Larry Johnson in 2007. They need another powerful running back, and the New Orleans Saints have one who has largely underachieved to this point in his career but is ready to break out. Yes, the Cowboys should deal a mid-round pick to the New Orleans Saints for Mark Ingram.

We'd love to see Ingram in a power offense and behind a great offensive line. We'd also like to see Murray get a breather down the stretch. This satisfies both teams and allows New Orleans to bolster a rebuilding effort that could already be underway. -- Conor Orr "

Now if the saints were to do that they would be announcing to the world that they have given up on the season. Why trade him for a mid-round draft pick?

Now that you mention it, what would you take for a trade? I'd have to entertain the thought with no less than a 2nd round offered...

I'd take a conditional 3rd, if he performs well it turns into a 2nd. We're deep at RB (assuming PT returns in a couple of weeks) and we could use the draft picks since we'll be bumping the cap the next few years.

If they believe they are making a super bowl run I would flip it. conditional 2nd. if it does not pan out a third and an additional lower round pick. Dallas should be picking no higher than 25th at this rate. Besides odds are DeMarco Murray will not make e the season. will history repeat itself? I think Ingram would thrive in that system.

back on topic ... just like the players to many people starting believing the press clippings and not looking at true nature of this team.
