Re: Drew Brees and the Art of the Untimely Interception
My 2 Cents: Joe Lombardi / Saints QB Coach 2009-2013
Brees TD/INT ratio during that time: 195 TD / 78 INT Joe Lombardi: 2014 Lions O.C. & 2014 Brees struggling. Maybe this could answer some questions? I don't know. Brees is one of the best fundamentally & mechanically sound QB's in the league and maybe even history. Until this year? Also, could be the Golden Oblique. Sure that has some factor in this as well. Ok...so my 5 Cents, then. But my opinions ain't even worth a nickle either. |

It is the ability to throw an interception against the Redskins only to have it stripped from the DB by your own WR for a TD. Timely Interception. Boom. Nailed it... |

Re: Drew Brees and the Art of the Untimely Interception
I really wouldn't mind running more, say pass 40-45% to running 55 to 60% a loaded box sets up the play-action real well. Might be what Brees needs and our O-line has done better with the run than giving Brees happy feet with the pass.

He is now on "ignore" watch. NOLA54 got there already -- ignored since last season. |
