I am not sure where you have been spk but the convos lately have been about Brooks and I happen to think he is borderline terrible and expressed that. If there is something wrong with that I don\'t know what it would be. I have spoken on many MANY topics besides Brooks but Brooks has been the center of convo lately. And I always wanna be in the center of convo. lol Anyway, once Brooks looks like a half decent qb I will lay off of him, but I am not holding my breath.

There\'s many things wrong with what you say about Brooks. First and foremost. You find fault with EVERYthing related to Brooks and you point it out over and over and over again. Any mention of Brooks and you\'re on a bashing spree.

Are you running for president of the club or something. What\'s the purpose?

Many of us (myself included) don\'t think Brooks has played great this year.

However, some of us see other problems with the offense that has greatly contributed to Aaron\'s miscues. Not all, but a lot of his miscues can be traced to the offensive line. Same goes for Deuce.

And there\'s more reasons for his problems. Like the defense putting us in known passing situations.

Aaron does not get a free pass. Nope!!

I don\'t take posts like yours real serious because I don\'t see much objectivity in them. Don\'t take that as a knock or take it personally. That\'s just the way I see it.

The only problem is there isn\'t much room for discussion with you because you don\'t want it to be.

Just remember, there are a bunch of very knowlegeable folks here who can see through a lot of things.

Believe me when I tell you there have been many members here who have made the same case you are trying to make and they have been much more clever than you are being.

Ok,Ok,Ok, I\'ve had enough. The reason I locked the other post was that some people on here like to make threads personal. You know who you are. We went through this last year and no one wants to go through it again. You new guys are doing great and most of the older members are living by the rules too. I\'m just going to stop threads before the become pissing contests. Get along and everything will be fine!

This is where I have to get off the bus Gumbo. You got it all wrong my man. YES, I point out Brooks\' faults and how he is holding the team back. Then you and others defend him and try to blame the problems on everything BUT Brooks. O-line, dropped passes, false starts, etc. So then I point out a game I attended, the Dallas game, some observations from the game and some observations from Cowboys fans, and how Brooks had all day to throw, there were no false starts and passes were not dropped, aand Brooks was terrible, and then you say \"well, Brooks had a bad game.\" Huh? So every other game all the problems are surrounding Brooks but when none of those problems are present, he just had a bad game? And I am the one in the fan club? Please don\'t take it personal cause I am not trying to be, but isn\'t that hypocritical? So then I ask about the fumbles last year and the INTs the years before when o-line and dropped passes and such were not a problem, and then I am bashing Brooks. Since when is pointing out facts bashing someone? I point to Brooks stats and his play, I don\'t just imagine what I am seeing. but I choose not to ignore Brooks\' glaring shortcomings. So if because I can\'t get behind a qb who had done NOTHING to earn a free pass and who has done nothing to earn the right of having anyone to defend him that upsets Brooks lovers, I am sorry. I am not getting personal with any of you. I am pointing out what can be readily seen pretty much any Saints game from Aaron Brooks. As a matter of fact, here is a quote and article from an interview with Brooks:

Now A) you readily admit he is not playing great this year(again) yet he calls himself a great qb. B) In an obvious show of leadership he says the TEAM is inconsistent and struggling, but he is a great qb. And this is the guy you want leading our team? He just threw everyone else under the bus. I guess I just don\'t get it and never will.

Now, I readily admit we have many other problems. A few weeks ago I wanted to tank the seaosn and try for Derrick Johnson in the draft. But that was before the sportscenter \"lowlights\" from Brooks and continued bad play. I just couldn\'t ignore this guy any longer as being a bigger problem than he is getting blamed for. So if anything, it has been just recently that I have gotten truly fed up with Brooks, after the Dallas game in fact. So think I am \"non-objective\" if you like Gumbo, but trust me, I have given Brooks all the opportunities I can stomach.
JOESAM, I apologize to you and anyone else who thought anything I have said was getting personal with them. That has never been my intent. I guess I get upset when people accept Brooks like he is a savior at qb and he has done squat in several years as our qb. I just want so much better for this team and a mediocre qb who thinks he is and calls himself great just ain\'t it. So again I apologize. And, I have never been a guy to knock Brooks until this year. He has broken my back this year with hus sub-par to terrible play. Sorry I couldn\'t stay on his bandwagon a little longer. I just can\'t throw the rest of the team under the bus for Brooks.

Billy, quit trying to stir things up,quit trying to walk that fine line and quit getting carried away. Just state your case like everyone else and answer back allowing others to have their opinions. Sure yours and theirs may not agree, but thats what this board is for. I just can\'t stand it when it starts to get personel between members. That alone caused more trouble last year than anything else. You\'re a good poster man and I don\'t want to lose you. Please just play by the rules.
