Re: Must Win, part 4
Pasted this on another thread. Panthers OL is high school level. It really is that bad. Get to Newton early and he gives up. He is a big guy and gets tired of picking himself up off the ground. Hit him early and he will quit by 3rd qtr. He will try and get the ball to Kelvin Benjamin and Olsen (who Seattle took away). Word is they get DeAngelo back this week.

Re: Must Win, part 4
The Panthers have scored 167 to our 199 so far this season and conceded 208 points to our 188. Our offence and defence has been superior.
If we are any good, we will win this game in similar manner to beating the Packers. The playing away part of the equation is the tough bit. |

Going to be interesting to see how their speed deals with Cooks... |
Re: Must Win, part 4
We ONLY rushed four against Rodgers, with remaining defenders sitting in a zone/cover assignment scheme...
While the CB were to jam receivers from the LOS, the LBers and Safeties formed a flexible zone net of coverage containment, bend-neaux-break defense... We'll probably have a similar theme on the short week, with a linebacker or third safety assigned as a spy on Newton... Benjamin gave Richard Sherman all he could handle, so I imagine Lewis with a Safety will be a simlar theme; expect Vacarro or White maneaux-e-maneaux on the Tight End Olsen in some three safety and nickel type packages... Big key will be hitting/tackling the very strong Cam Newton and wrapping up, bringing him down in a gang-tackle effort... |
