Similarly, the Packers, in 2 passing plays very early in the game (their first 2 drives), got 137 yards. That's roughly 1/3rd of their passing yards in 2 plays. The other 281 yards Rodgers threw for, it took him 26 completions in 37 attempts, which is still very decent by NFL standards, but it is not the dominant performance the 418 total yards suggest. |
Re: Lucky than Good
"Giving up 491 yards, 400 in the air, and that's when their qb was hurt after their 1st drive in the 2nd half, doesn't indicate that this defense is any better.
3 consecutive red zone drives all ending with very perplexing playcalling does not mean that this offense is any better." How does a defense that isn't any better, after giving up a 70 yard touchdown pass on the opening drive keep the Packers from the end zone until the fourth quarter? How does a defense that isn't any better force Green Bay to kick 2 FGs after they were in the red zone? And in case you missed it, last night's game was only the THIRD time in NFL HISTORY that neither team punted! |

Re: Lucky than Good
I work with two Packer fans . They never said a word to me. I think they though it was going to be a cake walk.

Re: Lucky than Good
No cake for The Pack. No cake for the Panthers, either.
