Back in 2000, Haslett took over as head coach for the Saints. Not many expected too much that year. Afterall, Haz took over a 3-13 team. '

But, Haz somehow guided this team to it's first playoff victory in the history of the franchise. No small feat when you consider this team entered the NFL in 1967.

The story doesn't end there. That year we were in the same division as the RAMS. You know, THE GREATEST SHOW ON TURF.

The Saints had to face those Rams 3 times that year. Twice in the regular season and once in the playoffs. For the record, we won 2 of those meetings. And don't forget, we had many injuried players, including Ricky Williams.

Haslett showed me something back then. And he also was voted coach of the year.

Flip foward to this year. With his and the teams back against the wall, they have somehow managed to turn things around.

Most likely if we beat the Panthers we're in the playoffs. Now, as good as the Panthers have been playing, they don't scare me like the Rams of 2000.

Who here don't think the Saints want to prove something this Sunday? Who here thinks Haslett isn't going to go all out this Sunday?

Who here thinks Deuce isn't chomping at the bit?

Who here hasn't seen the defense step up here for the last 3-games.

I think the players like Haz and want to play for him. They've sure played their butts off lately for him.

Man, we beat the Super Bowl Champs twice in 2000.

Bring those Panther on. Nothing like celebrating a win on their home turf

Which was also in salary cap hell, and not much talent. Basically it was Roaf and Rickey.

And the 2nd meeting was meaningless since the playoff seeding was set. Many starters sat.

It would be about time.

Who here hasn\'t seen the defense step up here for the last 3-games.
Its amazing, Bockwoldt, Watson, Allen, Brown, Grant, Young, Smith?
Who would ever believe it? The future looks bright for these guys

I was wrong. I thought they had quit on Haz.

Who Dat say they gonna beat them Saints?
My guess would be the Panthers.

Agreed...The saints are about to...what the media calls \"Find their identity.\" The players, coaches, and SAINTS fans know what their identity has become. In this weekends matchup, the Saints as a organazation will for now wipe out the snub we have endured from the media as a whole...critics might say \"It is not the same core group of players, or It is not the same coaches that defeated the Rams in the playoffs.\" That is true, but many of them are still here, and the fans are still here . Right? Go Saints!!!
