No Corey White Love?
Come on, folks...Corey White had a solid game last night.
4 solo tackles, made a play on the goal line that ended with Hawthorne's INT, and then had his own INT with GB pressing into Saints territory late in the game. We flame this dude constantly, but we gotta give the dude some recognition for a good game. The body of work over the entire year isn't all that great for him, but hopefully this will build the confidence he needs to do his job well week-in, week-out. |

Re: No Corey White Love?
Absolutely,
To me, he should get the game ball. The Saints hung with Green Bay because they're a good team. They beat them because of turnovers. (your opinion my vary) |

Re: No Corey White Love?
Definitely.
The tip on Hawthorne's pick was the turning point in the game (despite Collingsworth bemoaning AR's massive pulled hamstring) C-Rob wasn't awful either. Only thing I didn't get was why Ball was in man so much |

Collingsworth is a pinhead. |

Re: No Corey White Love?
White takes a beating here, but his overall play is not too bad at all. It just seems like anytime he gets beat it's a huge play and the safety isn't anywhere on the TV screen because both of them think they're like Josh Bullocks now or something.
I'd much rather have him out there because he is mentally tough, tackles really well and doesn't get down on himself. He's a lot more like Keenan Lewis than he is Patrick Robinson. |

Re: No Corey White Love?
I have been one of the naysayers -- but White distinguished himself in this game. We needed turnovers -- he gave them to us. You know tipped balls aren't always a turnover ( nor are they gimmes ) and way way too many have gone to the ground on our secondary this season. I think White has been paying attention in class. Nicely done, kid.

I'll give him some props. Good play. Aggressive. If he can keep it up we might have a starting corner on our hands. Limit the big plays and make the plays that really count.

Re: No Corey White Love?
He made some plays and he was picked apart by Rodgers on other plays. Making plays when they are needed, and timely, are always welcomed tho!

Re: No Corey White Love?
He can only get better if he gets the reps; same with Dixon as I see something there as well...
Starting to get the feeling the Saints coaches expect the defenders to have perfect technique before they're allowed to sniff the field... How then do they hone their craft if they're not seeing the field?!? Get that there are only so many spots, but I look at guys like Pierre Warren and when they get into games, they just make plays... Foster might not have made the team last year without injuries in the front seven last year... Really a head scratcher, dysfunction with the talent evaluation, talent planning with this team... |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

Re: No Corey White Love?
I rarely if ever give credit to someone I loathe tremendously....... And no I'm not talking about Corey White..... I'm talking about Teddy Bruschi. In there challenge flags segment Bruschi who rarely backs the Saints and always picks against them asked the Defense to get three turnovers. He coined it as one of the only ways that the Saints could beat Rodgers... Point proven. As far a Corey goes, excellent night. I give him credit for what I see. He is going to be picked on until he proves that he can go out and stop a receiving threat consistently though. Roders couldn't wait to throw the ball to whoever White was checking
