It was something like why do we keep him in there when he won't tackle or can't and gets burtn in coverage. Look that many fans can't be wrong. I like Harper, he gave us his best years and made some really good plays for us. He is a stand up guy, but I was glad to see him in the panties uni instead of ours.
That many fans can be wrong. I'm not complaining by any stretch, but putting that all on Harper is ridiculous. You could single out the other missed tackles, a blown coverage, and CAR folks not getting off of blocks all over the place.

If they wanted to win that game, their scapegoat should be their offense. Zero points off of 2 consecutive turnovers to start a game is Gawd-awful & terrible.

Score 10 points in a game with the Saints, you are gonna lose. You complete 10 passes, turn it over twice, and have 231 yards of offense, more than likely you are gonna lose to anybody in the NFL.

Misplaced anger by Pantie fans. But they can blame Harper all they want...they really should keep Scam running that offense.

I find it hard to believe that fans from two different teams are all biased against Harper, do you know how silly that sounds, not to mention improbable?

They didn't put the loss on Harper, what do you mean? I said they just questioned the point of keeping him or starting him due to the missed tackles and getting burnt.

The fans didn't blame him for the loss, they were speaking about him missing tackles and getting burnt (not just that game too).

I don't know why you keep saying about why they loss, they did not blame him for the loss.

When I said you can't blame one player for a loss that was a reply to you having made that comment previously. What the fans said about Harper, and that comment, were not related.

Holy ****, they didn't blame him for losing, they were merely pointing out frustration with his game this season.

Your team stinks

spkb...you're right. I misread it. My bad. Thought they placed the loss on Harper, so I misread that.

In fairness to Harper, I see plenty of Strong Safeties week-to-week miss tackles and get blown up in coverage just like the original link posted on here.

Harper ain't the best, but he ain't the worst, either.

No, absolutely not. I agree, man he made a lot of really good plays for us. He is not a bad guy by any means, and I have nothing against him. I have seen KV missing a lot of tackles this season. Harp's a professional and I remember a lot of blitzes where he sacked the QB or came up and stuffed the run.

It's really tough to find a strong safety that has great coverage skills plus are a great run support asset. Usually we see Strong Safeties good at run support but weak in pass coverage and vice versa. The great strong safeties can do both, and do them very well.

I can tell you pretty simply why he's being singled out. Because unlike any other Carolina defender on that roster, Harper is a former Saint, and he's a guy a lot of "wise" people tried to act like we would miss. That somehow he would haunt us. And that idea was shown to be foolish. It's nothing personal against Harper, but he plays for the other side now and I have no sympathy for that reason. He's not that good of a player. He's a role player who people keep trying to make a starter.

If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.

Panthers fans and Who Dats both agree that man is terrible in coverage....Sometimes it hard to believe how many fans here thought he was worth keeping....we all have opinions but can someone PLEASE throw 3 consecutive seasons of positive stats in here because I really don't see where he was good besides Gregg's first year as DC

Honestly, at least from a tackles standpoint he was consistent 07-12. And he had the 7.5 sacks in 2011.

One of the hardest things to do is tackle a guy running straight at you in the open field. If that guy happens to be a good enough athlete to make it to the NFL he's not supposed to get tackled in that situation. Granted some guys are better at it than others but most are going to whiff as often as not.
