I think in order for a majority vote on this where we can all agree or most agree on you have to set the standards... stats alone? important victories? what the player brought to the team? or your favorite qb by your heart?

I was trying to find out his all-time win-loss percentage, but I couldn\'t. I think he was 2-1 as a starter in the strike games. [/quote:f9b5051974] What I do remember about Fourcade is that he came in as a starter for the last three games of one season, and won all three of those games. It wasn\'t enough to get the Saints into the playoffs, but it was enough to earn Hebert an extra 50K or something due to a clause he had in his contract that stated that if we won a certain amount of games, I think it was ten, that he would get this extra money. I guess the front office blew it on this one by not adding that he had to be the starter for those games....lol. |

I can\'t say that I am anti-Brooks but the man is so inconsistent, and when Archie Manning Played he didn\'t have the supporting cast that Brooks has. Half of Mannings interceptions were due to errors on the receivers part. I must give Arron Brooks credit though he does have the only playoff win in franchise history.

Manning, by the way, threw 15 TDs and 20 INTs that season...and still went to the Pro Bowl. Do we place an artificially high threshold for success for Brooks to reach, or do we just have very selective memory? [Edited on 3/1/2005 by Puddinhead] |

Oh.....Manning\'s other Pro Bowl season came the year before, in 1978...when he threw 17 TDs and 16 INTs. I\'m not saying Archie wasn\'t courageous and valiant and athletically gifted--not to mention one of the all-time nice guys--but he easily made just as many bone-headed decisions with the ball as Aaron Brooks does now.

Well as far as athletiscism yes. I think Quarterback instincts Brooks brings a big question mark. Well I must say Brooks is getting closer to the Archie Mannings record of most touchdownpasses as a Saint with 11 ,Brooks has 107. Another argument can be made that the Saints of the Manning era did not have as much talent at certain key positions. Well not to mention Brooks had his second worst qb rating with 79.5 this year.
