Brees will restructure but that just screws us further down the line If we cut the following players we will be paying them to play elsewhere Colston - $5.4ml Evans - $5ml Lofton - $5ml We are well over the cap and still need to get Cam under contract,we have Ingram without a deal and Robinson in the last year of the deal. The year after the dead money on alot of contracts opens up the chance to cut older players |

Would LOVE to have him. No question.
But we need LBs worse that WRs. I mean, it'd be nice to score 40 a game, but it'd also be really nice if we could stop the other team from scoring 30 a game. |

No Psychotherapy could shock Julio back from the nightmares in Atlanta.

Re: Why we gotta Sign Julio Jones
WRs don't matter in the Sean Payton system.
The WRs in Payton's system only need speed on the big PA fakes. The passing game is based on finding the zone soft spot and sitting down in it. This is why man cover teams give us so many problems. Jones would be a waste in our system. Cooks is an amazing WR and extremely elusive but he never finds space because most of the routes require him to find the zone and sit down. When a WR is searching for the zone he isn't getting separation from man coverage. Personally I would love to see a vertical passing attack but unless we change our scheme having Jones might be a waste IMO. |

It's just a matter of seeing what a game changer like Boldin can do when its crunch time. Thats why that play was converted. If Boldin was not on the team that does not happen. |

Re: Why we gotta Sign Julio Jones
One, ATL is gonna add that option year to the former first rounder, and just can't see them letting him leave...
Two, we just moved up in the first round of the past draft at the expense of an add'l pick, third rounder... Three, we've got major holes to fill on the offensive line and yet to find 34 linebackers for our new, yet-installed, 34 defense... Fourth, we've got to decide and have cap space for our starting defensive ends which makes Galette's deal a head scratcher... Fifth, the only way we're getting a complementary CB to Keenan Lewis is free agency as the FO has shown a complete inability to assess and draft one... Not to mention that we're gonna have to release some players in the final year of their contract and they'll need replacement... Committing that much cap space to a few individuals?!? Haven't we learned our lesson yet?!? We've got enough weapons at the offensive skill position with only one ball to throw per play... How are you gonna find him enough targets to justify signing him to what you'll sign him for... |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

I think Ohio State may be better now than I thought with Meyer. Because with Tressel they produced NFL busts. Or maybe they did not want to play for us(Jenkins). But Roby and Hyde are doing well when given the chance. If we get anyone outside of these conferences and schools we are taking chances. Sedrick Ellis and Fortt came from pac 12's highly loved USC and UCLA. And neither worked out for us. I mean I'm talking NFL ready not needing development. Fortt may be good a few years from now but he is not NFL ready. |

Cooks has the potential to be our #1 receiver.
