Unlike Delhomme, Brooks has problems adjusting to different defenses. For instance, he\'s spectacular when he faces a defense that is set up for the play that he\'s calling. But he struggles when the defense isn\'t stacked in his favor.
I\'m not sure why Brooks has had such problems because physically he\'s a marvel. He\'s an incredible quarterback specimen with weapons that wow coaches. But it\'s the intangibles that Delhomme possesses that Brooks doesn\'t, such as handling 70,000 booing fans, that hurt him and his team.

... win or lose tomorrow, Brooks would still get a raw deal:
..if the Saints lose, well, it\'s obvious... the Jake aura is gonna get just that much bigger...
..and if the Saints win, the national media won\'t say the Saints beat the Panthers, or that Brooks beat Delhomme...the\'ll say the Panthers finally ran out of gas, with all the injuries and all, still lauding Fox as coach of teh year (which he deserves, IMO).. and fans would add the \" ...but Brooks hasn\'t lead the Saints to a SB\"...

.. I don\'t hold any ill will towards Brooks... he\'s the Saints QB and I want him to do good... but I still think that Jake should at least have been given a chance to compete for the position...

How can you possibly support Brooks\' comments? I\'m a great QB on a struggling team...

Jake\'s numbers are better this year. Jake\'s got intangibles that AB doesn\'t. I guess it\'s credible though b/c it\'s from a writer and not from WhoDat. LOL.
