Saints or New Orleans Spanx?
We are 1st in the Division, no question, but people keep eluding that we might actually be a good team on the edge of actually being a good team.
The evidence is there, we have lost our fair share of close games but at the end of the day the NFC South has lost their fare share of beat downs so it's a tough call. I'm undecided. I guess we could go on a good run but some things would have to be cleaned up for good before we go any further. One being special teams and understanding the locality of the ball in terms of field position. Not sure how this is even on the table this late in the season but it absolutely is a problem. A ball that could have been easily downed at the 5 turns into a touchback for no other reason that being unaware that you have to stop it before it goes into the endzone. Mind numbing ignorance. I could rant on for a while but my point is that in order to turn the corner we need more focus on the play at hand and understanding that on 4th down they may just heeve one 51 yards FTW because there is no other option. |

Re: Saints or New Orleans Spanx?
I think we have a very good team with a lot of talent. I think the real problem could be coaching on both sides of the ball. Maybe other teams are finally starting to figure Payton out. I happen to catch the games on the radio often when I cant be in front of the tv, and its becoming pretty common for the announcers to call out plays before they happen or mention tendencies of our playcalling.

I still believe that defense wins championships and without 1 that is actually good( the steel curtain, Tampa Bay, Dallas,) all back in the day those teams were tough to get by on gameday and all but Tampa were dynasty teams, look at San Fran with Montana thet had good D to go with the west coast O. The 2011 Saints O was as good of an O that I ever got to see in my life, just imagine if we had a good D to go along with that firepower. I do believe we are figured out and to overcome we must have a dominate defense if we go any farther than we have since 09.

I know statistically we had a top 5 Offense, but we didn't look like one....or at least like the one we had. I guess because we weren't balanced...we had no run game and Drew was throwing like 50 times a game. I like our offense this year. It may not be the high flying attack we had, but we are top 5 and look very balanced.

Take a page from history the NY Giants made a living getting hot in November. A lot rides on injuries as well, lose a few key players and a
team can be doomed. |

Our O scores enough each game to make that 8-1 happen. Dallas and only Dallas this season might have won. 9-0?
