Re: 2015 draft??
Seahawks are crazy (in a good way)
"the Seahawks have signed defensive end Cliff Avril to a new four-year extension, worth $28.5 million with $16 million guaranteed." I wanted this guy as FA target. |

Re: 2015 draft??
QB - nah, good for now.
RB - I think we'll need one. If we keep Ingram PT is probably gone. If Ingram is gone there's a void. WR - only if we end up with a shot at Amari Cooper, IMO. He's the one guy you couldn't pass up. TE - no need OL - best guard available. Lelito can take over center. We're good at tackle for now. But one of Evans or Grubbs needs to go, and the one who stays should take a paycut. We need an impact guard like that kid the Cowboys took this year. DL - Yes. Bunkley is gone. Jenkins and Hicks seem like guys that need to be pushed. With Hicks ability to play nose we aren't forced into taking a specific position, just get the best guy available. LB - Assuming Hawthorne is gone I like the Lofton/Humber combo inside. We could use a young guy here as depth and development. Fortt apparently wasn't that guy but they had the right idea. An all-around outside backer with size and speed would be nice. Haralson is slow and Galette isn't really a linebacker. CB - Yes, get one. or sign one in FA at least. Darius Butler from the Colts would be a great pickup. If not get that kid from LSU, he's got a nose for the ball. S - got enough of these for sure. K - get one. |

Re: 2015 draft??
With Vacaro now reverting to his real role of roaming safety it looks like another need for FA or the draft unless Sunseri or Ball can take the spot. I dont think Ball has done nearly enough to show its his job and its hard to know what to expect from Sunseri(real shame he got injured).
I'd look to trade Bush as its a area of depth with pieces needed elsewhere. Looking at the FA coming up at S Dawan Landry(might fit the bill, knows Rex scheme great against the run, good against the pass and a tackle machine. only 31 and might like the chance to play for a potential contender) Duke Ihenacho Brandon Meriweather Projected 4-5 round IBRAHEIM CAMPBELL, SS SCHOOL: NORTHWESTERN | CONFERENCE: BIG10 COLLEGE EXPERIENCE: SENIOR | HOMETOWN: PHILADELPHIA, PA HEIGHT/WEIGHT: 5-11 / 205 LBS. STRENGTHS WEAKNESSES Despite his youth, Campbell quickly established himself as one of the leaders of the Northwestern defense and is the only returning starter to the secondary from a year ago. He has average size, but hits like a truck with quick reaction skills, reading his keys and making snap decisions with natural football awareness. With expectations now on his shoulders, Campbell will try and avoid a sophomore slump this season, but his future as a pro prospect looks promising. --Dane Brugler PLAYER OVERVIEW Campbell is only a redshirt sophomore, but if one year is any indication, he is in for a productive career in Evansville. Lining up at safety last season, he led the team in tackles and earned Freshman All-American honors by the FWAA. Campbell was recruited as a running back out of high school in Pennsylvania and chose the Wildcats over offers from Stanford, Michigan State and Boston College. After redshirting in 2010, he moved to defense and earned a starting safety job last fall (12 starts) and led the team in tackles (100, ninth in the Big Ten), adding 3.5 tackles for loss and a pair of interceptions. |
"Two receivers to the left, Garcon to the right. Manning in the shotgun, puts Collie in motion. Looks in his direction...it's picked off! It's picked off! It's Tracy Porter again! He's runnin' free! He's gonna go all the way!

Re: 2015 draft??
I am looking at Byron Jones CB/S 6005 196 4.42 Connecticut
4th round steal due to a shoulder injury - torn labrum began his career at safety but transitioned successfully to corner last year. size and tackling ability of a safety, and the smooth backpedal of a corner. That reads like modern day Safety in the NFL to me. beside he would fill a need at CB to maybe I am not sold on 80% of our DB anyways. I am hoping for a crowded camp at the DB positions next year. let players walk dead money or not. not like there is a ton tied up in failed back ups anyways. Please some one else that has an eye for talent and football players making the call on who stays and who goes. |
