Source: Ali Marpet*|*Hobart,*OG*:*2015 NFL Draft Scout Player Profile
01/25/15 - 2015 Senior Bowl Stock Report: Ten who stood out in Mobile...Ali Marpet, OG, Hobart College: Marpet was arguably the most pleasant surprise of the 2015 Senior Bowl. All week long, the former Statesman left tackle demonstrated impressive strength, balance and toughness despite making the jump from Division III and switching inside to guard. - Rob Rang, NFLDraftScout.com Read about him leading up to the Reese's Bowl (Sr. Bowl); showed significant improvement each day adapting to the level of competition... I consider performance in the game as important as the week of practice; some guys are practice studs who freak on game day... He had a good, but not great game as expected... Wouldn't spend a third on him as some project, but if he's there in the fourth after the compensatory bullshinski (about three picks) at the end of round three and through four, then you've to consider him... |

Re: 2015 draft??
OLB SHAQ THOMPSON WASHINGTON
same ol sane ol CB KEVIN JOHNSON WAKE FOREST i would not be surprised to see him be the second CB off the board at the bottom of the first. same ol same ol OT JAKE FISHER OREGON Ok saints swing backup OT just got a huge upgrade and a player that can push for playing time right out of the gate. ok needs to clean up the penalties but blocking for Drew and protecting a true pocket should clean up a bunch of them right away. needs to bulk up and hit the weight room DE LYNDEN TRAIL NORFOLK STATE Not sure if he will be here he has that could go in the second or third written all over him. then again a small trade up could get him. interesting prospect RB TERRENCE MAGEE LSU Ok way high for most but he has proved he is the complete power back in the draft. power runner that catches and blocks extremely well. i do not see us getting into a bidding war for Mark DT LETERRIUS WALTON CENTRAL MICHIGAN 6051 321 5.19 Who? high motor guy with a bit of room to grow. bit of a low floor to start out with but has a solid ceiling and may be one of those players to shock everyone IMO C GREG MANCZ TOLEDO 6047 307 5.08 I found my round 7 guy and say who once again? i like this kid. small school issues but he is athletic enough. played OT OG and C. A solid shot gun snapper to boot. what sealed the deal is extremely high football IQ. The kid does not get made a fool of on the field. potential starting OG or C down the road? solid chance with this kid. East-West Shrine Game help to keep him in the lower rounds. he did not fair so well and came away with a torn labrum actually looking at it looks like a typical head scratching saints draft. |

Trail in the fourth is where he should be taken; you're right that someone will reach in the third, probably among the compensatory selections (Three in the Third Round)... I think our draft should have the intent, focus of solidifying the middle of the field... But Shaq Thompson would allow us to do so much... |

PJ is too up and down in my book. Quinten Rollins draft another project? Kevin Johnson best feet and hips in the draft. might be the best man cover in the draft. i am waiting for the beauty pageants numbers. that is were i think he will shine over the others. |

Re: 2015 draft??
The only issue with Rollins is that he's only played the position for a year, does he regress or have a low ceiling?
I'd risk an early third on Rollins, but can we afford to do it after the selection debacle of last season when we clearly should have taken an OLB then?!? Rob Rang seems to think the Pats will take Rollins with the 32nd pick - first round... |

Re: 2015 draft??
On Fanspeak lately, Bernardrick McKinney has been available in the 2nd. In Walterfootball's latest mock, they have us taking him in the second also. I didn't see him play, but from what I've read, he's lost in space and not good in coverage. I read he's a downhill thumper with speed who could play ILB or OLB. So, for those who watched him play, how's his coverage skills? Because he sounds like what we already have at LB except taller

Re: 2015 draft??
1) Landon Collins*, S, Alabama
Height: 6-0. Weight: 222. Projected 40 Time: 4.61. Projected Round (2015): 1-2. 2/7/15: Collins had 103 tackles with seven passes broken up and three interceptions in 2014. Sources say that for the NFL, he is a strong safety type who will do well playing in the tackle box. Collins is not a deep free safety who can cover receivers or tight ends in man coverage. That could hurt him on draft day. 2) Gerod Holliman**, S, Louisville Height: 6-2. Weight: 213. Projected 40 Time: 4.63. Projected Round (2015): 2-3. 2/7/15: Holliman enjoyed a massive 2014 season for the Cardinals. Replacing Calin Pryor, Holliman was one of the breakout players in college football. He led the nation with 14 interceptions. The redshirt sophomore also had 40 tackles with three passes broken up. Holliman had an excellent game against Florida State with two interceptions. He also had two picks against Virginia and Florida International. Holliman returned the one against Florida International for a touchdown. He has both size and instincts, but has to get better at tackling and providing more stable support in the ground game. 3) Jaquiski Tartt, S, Samford Height: 6-1. Weight: 220. Projected 40 Time: 4.57. Projected Round (2015): 2-4. 2/7/15: Tartt created some draft buzz with an impressive skill set on display for Samford. He totaled 62 tackles with one pass broken up and one interception this season. Tartt was solid against Auburn. 4) Durell Eskridge*, S, Syracuse Height: 6-3. Weight: 203. Projected 40 Time: 4.61. Projected Round (2015): 2-4. 2/7/15: Eskridge recorded 62 tackles with one interception and three passes broken up in 2014. He has some athleticism with size and quickness. Eskridge could be a free safety candidate for the NFL. 5) Damarious Randall, S, Arizona State Height: 5-10. Weight: 194. Projected 40 Time: 4.58. Projected Round (2015): 2-4. 2/7/15: Randall had a strong senior season with 101 tackles with three interceptions, eight passes broken up, two forced fumbles, 9.5 tackles for a loss and a sack. He has had a big presence for the Sun Devils' defense and stayed around the ball. Randall could have some free safety potential for the NFL. He had a strong week at the Senior Bowl and showed some coverage skills as a free safety. I see what i did there.... |
