he might be getting a bit of hype build up but if you pick him odds are you are getting a player that groomed and ready for the show right out of the box. this is what you will probably get with this guy. he may not make a ton of highlight reels but he will quietly surprise you by season end what he has done. odds are he will rack up hurries and hits. but the other players will benefit from his play racking up sacks. In the run game he will be the stout one that forces the play wide or to end side setting up others to rack up the stats. he will get solid numbers but odds are his impact will go unsung for a long time but everyone knows what he does and will respect him for it league wide. he is just that type of player IMO. Solid all around 3 down type. of all the dogs he impressed the most each and every game. dare i say an ILB there, whats his name (?), owes a lot to him for his draft rating |

Re: 2015 draft??
every year we look for a player to root for out of no were. i may have found that guy
But the big story at the Kansas pro-day is the performance of a receiver from Pittsburg State. Gavin Lutman was a bit of an unknown to scouts as he was unable to attend junior timing day a year ago while Pittsburg State figured out his eligibility. On the field in 2014, Lutman produced 70 receptions for 1,196 yards and 13 scores. At today's workout, Lutman turned heads with his testing numbers. His measurements were 6-3, 214 pounds, and he then went on to touch 36 inches in the vertical jump, 10-5 in the broad jump and time 4.46 seconds in the 40. Lutman's 3-cone drill was a swift 6.65 seconds and, he was timed at 4.09 seconds in the short shuttle. Scouts were evidently beside themselves as to not even ranking Lutman through the season. Compared to Jon Brown, the former Pittsburg State star coming off to a tremendous rookie campaign in the NFL, scouts say Lutman, though slower, has a size advantage and is more natural catching at the ball. Texas Southern
Twenty-five scouts were on hand for Texas Southern pro day, primarily to watch little-known cornerback Tray Walker, who did not disappoint. Walker measured 6-2 3/4, 189 pounds, posted 36.5-inch vertical jump and 10-7 broad jump. His 40 times included a wind-aided 4.44 and 4.51 against the wind. Walker also clocked a 4.05 in the short shuttle and a 3-cone, which dipped under 6.7. Walker has a host of official visits, including the Arizona Cardinals, Oakland Raiders, San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, Atlanta Falcons, Denver Broncos, Dallas Cowboys and New Orleans Saints. Re: 2015 draft??
[QUOTE=jjasso007;647591]Most recent draft with our compensatory picks
Round 1, pick 13: Eric Kendricks - ILB - UCLA My favorite (and the safest) ILB. Hope to get in the 2nd, though. Round 1, pick 31: Jalen Strong - WR - Arizona State Exactly who I want of those projected to still be at #31. Yes, excellent WR Round 2, pick 12: Hau-oli Kikaha - OLB - Washington Round 3, pick 11: Ali Marpet - G - Hobart I'd love this pick. Another small school stud to be. Round 3, pick 14: Efo Ekpre-Olomu - CB - Oregon Round 5, pick 12: Tyrus Thompson - OT - Oklahoma Round 5, pick 18: Xavier Williams - DT - Northern Iowa My favorite mid-round NT. I'd take him even if we take NT Shelton at #13! Round 6, pick 11: Jalston Fowler- FB - Alabama Round 7, pick 13: Jean Sifrin - TE - Massachusetts Don't know and haven't studied the rest, but (since you must be brilliant), I'll go with all you are taking. |

Re: 2015 draft??
Yes, very good TE and the only one I'd pick this draft. But, only further down in the 2nd or 3rd. 2nd round pick needed for ILB, OL, or WR.

Re: 2015 draft??
Not instictive and gets caught up in the trash. Kendricks is safer in the 2nd or Mike Hull of Penn St in the 6th.

Re: 2015 draft??
Well, I'd love it if on draft day we packaged our 13th pick and Galette and move up to the 5th (WAS) or 6th (Jets) should Beasley be there, select VB and get a fourth in return...
Some mocks have VB falling as far as our 13th pick, however many currently have him going to ATL... No matter what "severe' means to der Kommisar, he's not taking ATL nor CLE first round pick from them - so we can put that thought away... They've got a good idea about the penalty and if it were a first rounder, somebody would've spilt the beans by now... I'd reach and take Eli Harold as he's the next closest thing, probably will be just as good, his development is just a little behind VB... It'd be nice to trade back with the Bengals and pick up an add'l pick, but here's the problem... Several teams (i.e. PIT, AZ, IND) that'd could easily move up from those spots and eliminate what we need - an elite 3-4 OLB with top flight pass rushing ability... Chances are, Payton will select DGB and envision having him across Cooks, with Colston in the slot in 3WR formations and pull the trigger... He'll have confidence in the Drew and the Locker Room getting this kid right... And for a few days, I'll curse our coach for not moving up to get VB or taking Eli at 13... |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...
