If Brees wants another playoff run he need to redo his contract in the summer. Not extend and push the money to the future he needs to do what Brady has done and actually take a cut to bring in help.

He want do that. No way he would do that. He is selfish in that regard it seems to me. I picked this up trying to read his book (of which I couldn't finish do to it being so dry).

We need a lot more than that. Whole team is bunch of average and below average players.

thats the point,the cap situation is up a certain creak with the interior guards and Brees being so highly paid before you look at awful contracts elsewhere.
If you want the players needed then money needs found.

We need a draft guru in the Front Office, not a bean counter who delays the bill until it crushes this franchise...

We also need some real scouts that can actually evaluate talent, not this bunch of favored sons...

Payton is a top notch offensive planner and strategist...

His ability, or rather inability, to evaluate talent or poor effort to do same especially on defense has been his glaring weakness and his greatest impediment to consistent success...

Really want to see Coach succeed, but he's got to realize he's got to shake the FO and Coaching Staff up immediately upon the conclusion of the season...

Agree 100% but no way will Payton get rid of anyone who would be seen as a friend. He will blame the DC(not saying he is doing a great job) but ST/LB/DB coaches are just as bad. The scouts terrible and Loomis could easily be in a different job dealing with the finance while a true GM deals with on field issues
