Please tell me what coach can make grown ass men hit and wrap up runners and conduct proper tackles taught in pee wee league. The problem isn't RR... It all starts up front and pressure or lack there of |

Re: So if you could make the decision
Steve Smith said he was a"misfit" at Carolina because he was too passionate and physical in his play and in his attitude. He went to the Ravens and he says he fits right in with them and how they play.
We are getting run over, around, through and there is no fire or passion in the team, they are all fat and asleep. More money wont solve the problem. |

Re: So if you could make the decision
No. The whole organization top to bottom is to blame. Plus, it's what happens within the salary cap. If you don't hit in the draft AND you miss in free agency, it's just not going to be pretty. Byrd was a miss. Bailey and the #2 CB was a BIG miss. While Cooks is a very good football player, he will never be a #1WR in the NFL, and the Saints should have drafted a CB in the first. SJB was a miss. To not even see the field given the horrible state of the CB play, is not good. Payton's refusal to hand the ball off more, especially when it has been working, is just bad coaching. To run a 3-4 scheme and not have an OLB on the roster that could start anywhere else is mind boggling. Not being able to tackle at all is bad, BAD coaching and really piss poor effort on part of the players. I fear Vaccaro has regressed because of the concussions. He played with reckless abandon last year, and sadly he was approaching the danger zone with his career due to head injuries. The one thing I will say about RR is the defense, and the team as a whole, is probably the worst I've seen at not making gametime adjustments, which to the untrained eye looks like no adjustments at all. Bad front office work. Bad coaching. Bad effort and execution. 4-7.

Re: So if you could make the decision
Would I fire RR...lets put it this way, he would have had to catch a cab home last night and his personal belongings would be on his doorstep.
Who would I replace him with, Rex Ryan. |

Re: So if you could make the decision
Payton and Ryan don't seem to be on the same page. So, yeah I think he's gone after the season. I would certainly turn a heavy eye to the college ranks looking for asst. coaches. We were effective bringing in good coaches when Payton took over. Well, those guys are gone and their replacements aren't getting the job done. Loomis needs to hire someone knowledgeable at filling position coaches duties.

Re: So if you could make the decision
What about our OL coach? There's an opportunity to upgrade.
Not happy with any of our defensive coaches. Some have been in place too long. We need some eager beavers, who bring energy to the coaching staff. Does Drew miss Joe Lombardi? Has he lost some of his edge? No matter what you may think of Bill Belicheck he & Brady continue to find ways to win. And after a 2-2 start they currently hold the #1 seed in the AFC. The Saints never seem to be able to fight their way out of a bad situation. They don't scratch or claw back when the chips are down. They seem too comfortable with loosing. They are just not competitive. Maybe they can manage one more win but good draft position. |

John Chavis's name better be on Payton's short list!
