Mark Ingram approaching 1000 yards
After a solid performance against Pittsburgh, Mark Ingram now has 767 yards rushing and is averaging 4.5 yards a carry.
With 4 games remaining, he needs to average just over 58 yards per game to hit 1000 yards for the season. I still think we should try to resign this guy. He's proven himself a capable and dependable runner that can move the chains. What say you? |

I saw fit to use that as my 2000th post. It only took me 11 years to get there!

Re: Mark Ingram approaching 1000 yards
I know that we are a league of "what have you done for me lately"? He's played well lately.....but it took too long to suit me. I loved him coming out of Alabama but he's been a big disappointment until recently. Plus he has a thug mentality.jmho I'll pass.

Re: Mark Ingram approaching 1000 yards
I see him getting signed, seems to me that Robinson/Ingram are our future and Thomas is getting fazed out of the offense somewhat... He doesn't get near the touches that he used to including screen passes

I believe he has coach feeling frustrated and angry. When I see these two interact Payton always looks like he's about to lose it. I don't have a warm fuzzy feeling when I see these two together. His excessive celebrations and subsequent penalties didn't endear him to coach either. Oh, and I can't recall the last time a team mate talked to him on the side line except immediately after a big play. I'm not saying that I am a psychologist or an expert in human relationships....I just tend be observant. And the thug mentality that I refer to is the big shows he puts on after a first down when we are getting blown out. I'm also referring to his excessive celebrations which hurt the team because of his stupid penalties. He has as yet to show me anything besides that thug mentality. And finally.............Hell no I'm not an Auburn fan! I bleed Crimson baby. However, they are both fine institutions of higher learning. I liked Ingram a lot coming out of Alabama. I was excited about him........but the glow has faded. I am glad he's playing better......just not glad enough to give him very much money against a tight cap. Edit: JMHO ![]() |

Still think you're inferring waaay too much from what you've "observed" on the sidelines. But you can rest easy because even if Loomis wanted to, there won't be enough money to over-pay him. |
