New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday for his performance on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Brees completed 19 of 27 passes for 257 touchdowns and threw five touchdowns for the ninth time in his career. It was also the seventh time he passed for five touchdowns without any interceptions, tying the all-time mark held by Peyton Manning.

Brees has now been honored 20 times as a player of the week, third in NFL history behind Manning (27) and Tom Brady (24). Eighteen of those weekly honors have come since Brees joined the Saints in 2006.
