Was surfing www.neworleanssaints.com, and saw that they had the following listed as next years opponents:

The list of 2005 opponents:

Home: Atlanta, Carolina, Tampa Bay (NFC South), Chicago, Detroit (NFC North), Buffalo, Miami (AFC East), N.Y. Giants (NFC East)

Road: Atlanta, Carolina, Tampa Bay (NFC South), Green Bay, Minnesota (NFC North), Miami, New England (AFC East), St. Louis (NFC West).

I'm fairly pleased with this schedule if it rings true, as there are definitely some lower tier opponents available: Miami, Tampa, Detroit, Chicago, NY Giants.

We know we can beat St Louiey, and compete w/ Carolina and Hotlanta. It'll be a struggle vs the rest.

If we\'re playing the AFC East, Miami can\'t be in there twice. One of those has to be the J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, Jets.

Also, don\'t count on Chicago or Detroit to be push overs again. Chicago\'s defense played real well this year with virtually no help from the offense. THey\'ve got some decent RBs, if they can find a QB and some WRs, they could be a playoff contender.

Detroit just needs to mature and put it together. First rounders at two WR spots, RB, and QB. If their line can protect that offense is going to be dangerous - maybe more so than ours. Their secondary is pretty good, and their front four have played well for a while. If the O can put it together and the D can step it up just a little, they might compete for the NFC North.

I also wouldn\'t count on the Giants to be cream puffs either, and with Saban going to Miami...

Well, I guess this just proves nothing comes easy in the NFL.

Copyright that sig. I, for one, am prepared to have it superimposed on a sweatshirt and wear it until the next season starts.

What better motivation for the Saints!. It would be wonderful if our wins left them all 1 game short of playoffs next year.

At least the schedule seems a bit more fair than the one we just finished...I\'m amazed we managed 8 wins...we should do pretty good if we stay healthy..and utilize our weapons..the schedule looks pretty good

Er not so sure: NFC West & AFC West compared to NFC East & AFC East. The East is harder I think.

At the very least, we are coming up against some titanic defences.

Based on last years results...
Our schedule included 7 teams that either made playoffs or finished at 9-7 or better
Sea, STL, Minn, SD, Den, Atl, Atl,

In 2005 we\'ll play 8.
Pats, Jets, Bills, GB, Min, Atl, Atl, Stl,

Looks a bit tougher to me. But no one thought San Diego (picked to finish dead last by everyone who can spell N-F-L) would win the west either. Who\'s it gonna be this year! Chicago? Detroit? Miami? Giants? THE SAINTS?
