Re: Payton puts Saints on notice after lopsided loss

The way this team and this year is going, I would not be at all surprised if Goodwin and/or Junior, suddenly appears on the IR list without any fanfare. If I opened up the morning paper and read that, I really wouldn't bat an eye. It'd basically be a face-saving alternative to benching them.

Absolutely nothing to lose and the experience could be valuable.
I would like to a look at Powell and Eddiboli, but only in the 3-4 set. If we continue with a 4-3 or that famous 4-2-5 we run then we have to keep Gallette there. Gallete don't fit a 3-4 because he would need to play the inside and out to be as effective rushing the passer, he's not good at all at containing his side, he!! teams run at him alot actually thats why I think Powell and Eddibili would push him out in a 3-4 set. JR.9 which I love his effert and have cheered him on since he first started) is 1 player that has good value as a trade if we go 3-4 I would pull the trigger and trade him.

4-3 scheme. Jordan, Jenkins, Hicks, Foster. New LOLB, Lofton, new ROLB. Lewis, new RCB, Sunseri, Byrd. Let Vaccaro float.

I think a 3-4 defense is still the way to go but it's absolutely necessary that we land a guy like Vic Beasley or Benardrick McKinney in the first round of the draft because they can play inside and out.

We still run a 4-3 quite often. Maybe we don't have the players for a 3-4......if so then go get them in free agency or in the draft.

bingo. that is what we lost with all the cuts we did last year. vets that know and keeping team mates focused. I guess we now know who the true leaders were on defense.

Re: Payton puts Saints on notice after lopsided loss

If Vacarro is the last line of defense and he's ALWAYS missing open field tackles why is it that hes in that position so often you got a running back who ran through 7-9 players untouched for whatever reason makes Vacarro miss worse safety but if he has alot of mssed tackles our lb corp has to be right behind him our defense as a WHOLE does what Vacarro does All other ten players have been out of place My question is why him why not Hawthorne Hicks Cam Junior Corey Jimmy Colston
