Gallete don't fit a 3-4 because he would need to play the inside and out to be as effective rushing the passer, he's not good at all at containing his side, he!! teams run at him alot actually thats why I think Powell and Eddibili would push him out in a 3-4 set. JR.9 which I love his effert and have cheered him on since he first started) is 1 player that has good value as a trade if we go 3-4 I would pull the trigger and trade him.
JR.9?

Yep, Junior is a pass rush 4-3 DE specialist.

He is not a 3-4 LB, which is probably the reason we currently don't run a 3-4.

Hicks and Jordan are perfect 3-4 DE's (on paper) but both have underachieved greatly this year.

Currently I think our best combo is a 4-3 with Jordan, Jenkins, Hicks and Galette on the D-line and Haralson, Lofton and Hawthorne at LB.

Obviously there are a few upgrades necessary in the offseasson to run either scheme optimally.

On defense...

Start Jordan, Jenkins, Walker rotating Hicks to spell the starters...

Release or Bench Galette - now that would be a notice...

In fact, go to the 34 now and play...

Haralson/Powell, Humber, Lofton/Knox, Edebali...

They'd be hungry and they'd play a helluva lot harder than the "guaranteed" contracts we currently have a linebacker...

With losses like the Carolina game, everyone in the organization not named Benson, Brees and Morestead should think about working on their resumes.

My guess would be they're all senior to Vacarro and you can't necessarily treat your veteran players like a second year player? Player personnel issues are a biotch in a professional environment. Also, Hawthorne, Hicks, Cam are hurt?

Not making excuses, you throw the blanket on the whole defense for their performance, but then you do have to look at each individual part before you can fix it.

Plus, Vaccaro's got a lot of potential. Sometimes those are the guys you gotta' mess with the most to get 'em to realize it. Could be SP is just making sure he's got KV's attention, IDK. .
