Re: Corey White the free safety?
I trust the coaches over anyone here who is screaming "gonna be painful to watch"...
They have seen him in practice at safety and if they feel he can do it, then let him do it. |

Re: Corey White the free safety?
White played very well at a quasi-safety spot in preseason. He was still listed as a CB but the way he was lined up was more like the way we used Jenkins at times last year. I think this is a good idea. He always plays better with the ball in front of him anyway.
I know people are down on him right now but I still like him. Maybe not as a #2 corner anymore, but he plays hard, hits hard and has a nose for the ball. Those are really good qualities to have in a nickel/dime DB. |
Re: Corey White the free safety?
Can't be worse than his play at CB. I think this could work out for him

i think what everyone is missing is that the reason this is a story is that it probably foreshadows the departure of KV.

Re: Corey White the free safety?
FS?
Does mean warren will not see as much playing time at FS? then that means we will be force feed dixon again at CB? I like Corey and the middle of the field as a safety or a nickle and dime guy is perfect for him. Not sure how much i like the move to FS when SS seems like a better fit. best tackler in the secondary. Warren and White seems like a better mix and let Kenny play the 3rd safety role. line kenny up all over the place. but what do i know Rob is a defensive master at player selection, motivation and schemes. So in Rob I blindly trust |
Re: Corey White the free safety?
Id have liked to have seen if we could have taken Mark Barron when he went to the Rams. Having him at SS,Byrd at FS and Kenny as the roamer would have worked well imo. He isn't starting there now and maybe they look to get rid for the right offer. Its only the need for more depth on both lines that would have me thinking twice
