Why do we continue to force this?

Ryan was praised last year because unlike Spags, he started using his players according to their strengths. Square peg, meet square hole.

And now it appears we're right back to the same old thing.

lol

Shows how much you know about the safety spot... Or football in general, stats aren't everything.

You could not be bias and look at what is regarded as the best ranking system in the NFL, your just too prideful to admit your wrong.

Vaccaro has some talent but he is playing the wrong position this year.

Yup...

Aside from the Bears game it seemed like we were trying to force it, but that's why I am actually excited now. Rob might have figured it out even this late in the season we still have a shot.

Rafael Bush played a part time role when he was ranked so highly by PFF... What was his average grade as a full-time starter for that stretch this season?

I know stats are not everthing neither is PFF and I agree that Vaccaro is neither a SS or FS but as the third safety in the formation last year he was very good. Rafael Bush isnt the 6th best S in the league and wont be. He is a good player but of he was that good we wouldn't habe been able to keep him. I think we just have to disagre. My major issue has been the calling Vaccaro a bust on the thread. He is a good, potentially very good safety who is coming back ftom a nasty injury and playing in a new position in a struggling team. The big mistake was trying to force a change in a team that didn't have the personal needed

I don't disagree that he has talent, but he is best at the pest role not at safety. It's not just one year either, he played the pest role in college as well, Vaccaro has never been a true safety and we should stop trying to make him one before we ruin another player.
