Should we fire RR?

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I'd like to show him some loyalty and keep him around for another season. There are plenty of scapegoats but I think it's set bad precedent for future signings/hires to give up on someone so soon. He had one great ...

I'd like to show him some loyalty and keep him around for another season. There are plenty of scapegoats but I think it's set bad precedent for future signings/hires to give up on someone so soon. He had one great year and one horrible year... Id like to give him a fair shake and see what we can do next season. Because if we're going to fire Ryan, there are plenty coaches on both sides of the ball, and players for that matter, that have shown to be productive in the past that should be shown the door as well.

Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege.

All little common sense goes a long way.

This is the problem: Too Many Guaranteed Contracts

How does Ryan motivate guys without the fear of them losing their jobs?!?

Problem is we need a General Manager to offset, challenge Coach Payton with a different perspective take on our personnel disposition...

Loomis and a good bit of the scouting department must go, now!!!

And like the above states, you keep firing people and fail to give them the ammo to succeed, no talented coach is going to want to come here...

+1. We allow too many players/coaches to 'hang around'. Time to produce or show you the door. Our scouts have done a horrible job at evaluating talent.

We have "scouts"?

Dang. They get paid, too, I reckon?

Every team has this same issue, if he can't motivate them then he is 100% the problem. That's his job. I think anyway. SP too.

One thing I will say, we didn't lose this past week because of the defense.

I disagree. The defense was just as horrible as the offense. Both sides stunk. I don't think Matt Ryan even had to wash his uniform after the game.
