I know a few people mentioned it before, but I have to ask again because I saw no clear answer. What is the deal with the soft coverage on almost every play. The worst examples was when it would constantly be 3rd and short. Our CBs would literally be in press coverage position then drop a few yards behind the first down marker right before the ball was snapped. This resulted in many first downs as well as opened up the screen game for Atlanta.
If anyone comes across an article explaining what the benefit of that kind of D is, please share. I'm so confused by it! |
