Translation: We're dotting the I's and crossing the T's on his termination papers. We can't comment until its done.

Yup... Sad but true, and if it wasn't the case Payton would have said so. No reason for Payton to make that statement if Rob was staying.

So who do we get? We whiff on DC's more often that we do draft picks.

If he lets Ryan go I hope Vitt and Johnson go too. If he stays I hope Vitt and Johnson go anyway. Anybody want the lb'er coach from San Fran, I do, immediate up-grade.

Man I hope they give him another year. I really think it was fifty fifty as far as our defense and offense sucking. If the offense moved the ball better the D wouldn't be on the field as much. The D had their faults also though.

Problem wasn't the safeties leaving, problem was the defensive front seven was ineffective because of injuries (i.e. Jenkins, Foster) and effort (i.e. Galette, Jordan, Hawthorne)...

It seems as if Ryan is to much of a "buddy" to these players. The more I read into this the past couple of days, the more I'm beginning to think that Ryan may be to soft on them. Why is it that he had to raise his voice and get animated for half time for the players to get motivated? Gallete said it himself....he said after that speech, they felt like he really cared about this defense and they went out there and played hard for him. REALLY?!? That's the lamest thing I've ever heard. I remember Greg Williams flipping out on Tez during practice because he f**ked up. GW grabbed his face mask and cussed him out while pulling him off the field. Maybe we need that for these players. I think they take advantage of Ryan like any one of us would do if we had a pushover boss. No wonder they want him back.

The problems were plentiful, the solutions were not.
