..here's a great quote from Coach K that appeared in the Winston-Salem Journal, answering questions about an ailing Duke team playing Temple tonight:

" You don't become a winner by rationalizing or making excuses.
You become a winner by defeating rationalization and having no excuses"

... this is along the lines of what John Fox expressed during the NFL season..

... then you have Mark Fields, who when asked about his contarct negociations, said he would do right by the team since the Panthers organization did right by him during his cancer treatment last year :

If they throw $2 in my face, that will be enough, Give me two dollars, and I'm inking."

.. frankly, I'm jealous.....
