Most of Galette's contract was set up as a roster bonus, IIRC, because Loomis knew he would probably have to rework that deal this offseason anyway. Which means the Saints could basically cut him with almost no consequence if they wanted to.

I really want to see what happened here but my estimation of Galette has dropped quite a bit. And I wasn't even as high on him as a lot of people were last year.

Sure. But if he's not on the roster.....

Basically we need to find out what happened. If it's bad, cut him before the roster bonus goes into effect (I believe that's usually something like June 1st) and you're off the hook. If it's not too bad, then proceed as normal.
