To clarify, you only get a roster bonus if you are on the roster. If you're not on the roster when the roster bonus is due, you don't get crap (and the team is not on the hook for the cap hit). If these charges are bad enough the Saints can simply cut him now and be done with it.

Loomis was smart to structure the contract the way he did. Although I'm sure he was trying to protect the team from Junior being a one-year wonder after 2013, not in case of something like this happening.

I don't think it will come to that. It's hard to imagine the charges are that bad. But if they are, well, sometimes you just have to bite the bullet.

We have no teeth to bite with, we are already over the cap and have to do some serious work just to get under... And to add 15-16 to that, we'd be up **** creek...

???? you wouldn't be adding anything, just paying the guaranteed part of his salary that's already projected.
