We have no teeth to bite with, we are already over the cap and have to do some serious work just to get under... And to add 15-16 to that, we'd be up **** creek...

???? you wouldn't be adding anything, just paying the guaranteed part of his salary that's already projected.

If he is not on the roster at that point, then the Saints are off the hook for the majority of his salary this year. Because 12.5 of that 15 million is roster bonus. Let me repeat: If he's not on the roster, he doesn't collect the roster bonus. This is not hard to understand.
