Re: Loomis press conference
Disagree with West Virgina. The weather is too mild. The defense had no intensity to push through in the 4th quarter, they often looked whiffed. This is a staple of military training, they train in harsh conditions for a reason and it also builds tight bonds having suffered through something together.

I don't see any point in going out in the heat if practice isn't not long enough and you spend half of your limited practice time re-hydrating and working out cramps. |

Re: Loomis press conference
News conferences like this are a waste of time. The original reason for less contact and such was less injuries. I hope they look at the stats. It didn't lessen the injuries for the Saints. One could easily argue less contact means being in less football shape and actually leads to more injuries on gameday.

So does this mean Rob Ryan is staying? I was expecting to hear some more changes...

Re: Loomis press conference
I'm not a doctor or scientist but it's common knowledge that the body, when exposed to extremes, the physiology of the body changes. It adapts to heat, cold, high elevation. Training in the heat, cells start becoming more efficient conserving water, the mind breaks the mental barrier as well from being hot and pushing on. There would be a lot of IV's at first then some then hardly any. Maybe the training is not as intense as before, but in short burst in heat it would have an effect on some level.
