While I agree the window is closing for Brees, we saw last season that if he has protection, he is still one of the best in the game.

Don't need anything to tell me this:
Give Brees 1-2 more seconds and he gives you this: - 5,000yds passing or more - 40tds passing or more - 70% completion percentage or more - 12 int's or less |

Settling for 3 or being conservative, that's my only hit on Brees. He doesn't have that gear. I like the attitude but sometimes it's just not needed. He'll throw it anywhere at anytime. Very agressive to a fault sometimes.

I can't speak for the guy and he'd never say this anyway, but I suspect he felt like nothing shy of 30 points was good enough last year (and almost any year but 2009).
I suspect that the number of defensive stops or turnovers generated is inversely proportional to boneheaded picks thrown by Brees. |
