No way! Such conspiracy theorists here! Payton's certainly stubborn, and you can love or hate the move (No way Ingram is a hack, personally I love the move). But people seem to forget, in hindsight the trade-up for Ingram was brilliant, or lucky. Had we not traded up, we'd have (certainly) lost the pick the next year from Goodell's Bounty Gate Garbage. If I am Payton or Loomis, I always secretly breathed a sigh of relief that pick was taken a year in advance if not for that BS bounty crap alone! |
