A Breakdown of Why the JG Trade Makes Sense
TRADE FALLOUT: Why the Saints sent Jimmy Graham to the Seahawks - BIG EASY SPORTS TALK
"There’s no question Graham will be missed dearly, and New Orleans appreciates his amazing contributions over the years as a Saint. But this was a tough decision that could end up helping the Saints in the future." |

Re: A Breakdown of Why the JG Trade Makes Sense
The article indicates that JG was a distraction in the locker room, that he had an attitude problem and he didn't want to get hit in practice.
I wonder if any of that was true..... |

Re: A Breakdown of Why the JG Trade Makes Sense
This is what I have been saying all along.
OL and DL is where the game is meant to be played. If you can't protect the QB it doesn't matter who you have at quarterback. The OL needs upgrading and it needs to start at Center. When you build an OL the best place to start is Center and work your way out. THey may not say it but essentially we have entered rebuilding stage. |

And a damn good O-Line does more than just help Drew; Ingram should be really happy!

Re: A Breakdown of Why the JG Trade Makes Sense
I have said it.
Other's who post here and who are tons smarter than I am have said it. The Dallas Cowboys of the 90's proved it out. That line is the single most important aspect of football (assuming the QB isn't an idiot). And we certainly aren't devoid of talent without Jimmy. We have weapons. Plenty of them. What we don't have anymore is domination up front. We have a QB who will kill opponents with just a little time and the ability to step up in the pocket. Ingram WILL rush for 1200+ easy next year. Hill will have people saying "Jimmy who?" after 4 or 5 games. Drew will be as solid as ever, his deep ball will make a miraculous return, and we WILL be contenders. All of this IF we fix the o-line, and the JG trade goes a long way to that end because we just put a friggin beast at Center. I'm betting Evans rebounds a bit. Not sure about Grubs. We shall see. This was a WISE move by the front office. WISE I tell you all. Now, lets not blow that extra 1st rounder please. Thank you. :bng: |
