I don't think it's that bad of a idea, third down back in passing situations.

Change of pace. None of the Saints running backs came close to a 4.37. We always go by committee.

all I know is we better get a corner first before we even think about signing spiller

Man that dude is electrifying in space though. Marrone tried to make him a between the tackles runner, that's why his production was down and probably why he had injury problems. When he's healthy and used to his strengths he's a souped up Darren Sproles. If the price is right, Mr. Spiller please do come on down.

I'd rather see us sign Bush who knows the system already.

Fills an need. Probably faster than most if not all of the RBs in this year's draft. I don't know what his skills as a receiver are. I.E.-route running and hands.

We have a different system and different players now. Not an advantage for Bush really.

Nothing against him, just want to spend the money elsewhere. They have plenty of backs in the draft to choose from.

There was that report about us checking out Forsett too... I think Payton wants a little more than the Ingram/Robinson duo. Spiller might hold up in a lesser role. Someone has to catch those screen passes.

Ingram has been pretty brittle himself.

Nothing against you personally Rez,but a lot of people talk about Ingram being injury prone. Besides turf toe and the broken hand, what else is there?

Re: Saints in the mix for CJ Spiller

i am stumped here. ILB? not a whisper? something sneaky must be up some where some how.

CB i understand draft should yield one plus some solid tier three types

RB while an area of need and using CJ in rotation would work for his health and SP has to have his toys. but the draft is pretty deep here also.

ILB are thin in the draft and a few solid free agents are out there and we cut ours.

something smells fishy

It's Spiller or Bush. Who would you rather?

All the more reason not too spend good money on a second injury prone player

He's only had one 16 game season out of 4 so far.

I kinda feel the same way. I read somewhere that it's possible using a first round pick as a trade for a current player on a roster could be in the mix. I never thought of that. Right now, I have no idea what's gonna happen, but I'm excited as f**k to find out!

Demarco Murray had 1 in 4 years
AP had 3 in 8 years
Marshawn Lynch had 3 in 9 years
Arian Foster had 2 in 6 years
Pierre Thomas had 2 in 8 years
Deuce McAllister had 2 in 8 years

I'm not arguing against Ingram. I'm a supporter of his. I'm arguing for Spiller. He averages 5.0 yards a carry. I like the idea.

Sidenote, they all are/were considered pretty injury prone.

Agreed. Mason Foster and Mcclain are still out there.

I read former Cow Durant signed with the Bucs.

Maybe the fact he hasn't played a full season yet? Or nothing even close really. It doesn't matter if its a elbow scrape, if he doesn't play in the game his value diminishes.

Nothing against Spillers, I like him. But in my opionion I think Ingran being used for about 3 quarter and a sledge hammer back to finish off a D would be better. If something happened to Ingram Robinson could fill in nicely.

I'm thinking Spiller would be used as a Sproles screen kinda guy... Change of pace back
