That tweet confirms that Brees is going nowhere for a long time.

Anyone watched this kid last year?
Sounds a interesting player to watch next year, good completion percentage, great yards and hardly any turnovers. Cant find any clips on youtube so will have to have a watch next year

Jonathan Goff, QB, California
Height: 6-4. Weight: 210.
Projected 40 Time: 4.69.
Projected Round (2016): 1-3.
2/8/14: Goff enjoyed a breakout 2014 season. The sophomore completed 62 percent of his passes for 3,973 yards with 35 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Goff displayed real pocket-passing potential while playing with a less-than-ideal supporting cast. He became the starter as a freshman in 2013 and completed 60 percent of his passes for 3,508 yards with 18 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.

I'm giving Brees this season.

We're making as many moves as we can to extend Brees' career a few more years. I'd love to grab Sherrf or Collins (OT) in the 1st, and a diamond at OG later in the draft.

And frankly, I don't really care if its specifically designed for Brees because even after he retires we whould have a very capable O-line for the next Drew Brees to succeed in, whomever that may be.

I would much rather have Petty from Baylor.

That kid doesn't come out of college till next year. I forgot to add that. Never seen him just looking who else other than Cook will be on the draft and his yards,TD totals and especially ball security stood out

Re: Are we getting ready for life without Drew?

2016 nfl draft picks are key if we want to go here with Drew.

- picks from the team we trade Drew to has to include #1 in 2016
- for extra security i would try to trade out at 31 and it would have to include a #1 in 2016
- saints would end up tanking the season.

3 #1s and then i can say we are ready to make the move.

Connor Cook - is the only QB i would be tempted to gamble on

2017 has some interesting prospect but that is too far out IMO

I totally agree about the O-line being ready for whoever. I think it's Griffin. Running the ball takes alot of pressure off and a great D also. He would need to make 15-25 throws a game to be suceesful. Might not be pretty but just enough to win.

Agree. A great O-Line with and average QB beats a great QB with a bad O-Line every time.

Time makes every QB better.

Drew's replacement won't declare until next year. Who that is I don't know but I don't think his replacement is in this years draft. He may already be on another teams PS for all I know. Sean Payton has probably been following several players closely the past couple of years.
