Saints coach Sean Payton told Chris Myers of Fox Sports that the team is not interesting in trading quarterback Drew Brees.
When asked if it might be time to move on from Brees, who is 36, Payton said: "Yeah, it's not that time. ... We're not interest in moving on from Drew Brees." In an interview with Chris Myers, Saints coach Sean Payton dispelled the notion that the team is shopping quarterback Drew Brees. Since the Saints traded star tight end Jimmy Graham earlier this month, there have been rumors that New Orleans may be on the precipice of a full-scale rebuild. Payton dispelled the rumor that it might be time to move on from a 36-year-old quarterback who showed signs of decline last season. "Yeah, it's not that time. ...
