Saints plan to get physical with NFC South’s big receivers
this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Shouldn't we just officially move Vacarro to nickel CB?? We essentially drafted him because he was a strong safety who could play man to man against slot WR's... And that's how we used him to relative success his rookie season. ...

Shouldn't we just officially move Vacarro to nickel CB?? We essentially drafted him because he was a strong safety who could play man to man against slot WR's... And that's how we used him to relative success his rookie season. Then we tried to make him a true strong safety last season and it was an utter disaster. The kid is so good at getting physical with those finesse speedy slot receivers. With Lewis, Browner and Vaccaro as our starting CB's in the nickel formation no-one would ever get a clean release running their routes.
