this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Actually, I'd rather keep our No. 31 pick... Per the CBA, the team can extend an extra year on rookie contracts for first round picks......

Re: Community Mock Draft
Very very true, but i think we need as many young quality players as possible on this team. So getting a 2nd round talent ( which anything past like pick 20 in this draft is considered 2nd round) and an extra 3rd or 4th round would help a lot. I'd take an extra player or two instead of another year of a cheap deal.

Re: Community Mock Draft
I think we're probably gonna stay put at 13 but package one of our 3rd round picks with #31 to move up into the low 20's for whatever great player slides a little.

besides who says you can not trade right back out of 8 with a team the bears refuse to trade with in the first place. preferably a team with the same targeted player as the falclowns. i would be lmao if we pulled that on off |

Re: Community Mock Draft
Danny Shelton with the #13? Think of the possibilities! Jenkins and Shelton in the middle with a 4 man front; not an O-Line big enough to run up the gut...

Re: Community Mock Draft
I like picking 13th and 31ts. I would move up in the second with one or two of our late round picks(a 6th or 7th) or both if the right player was there. I would like to keep both of our 3rd round picks because we do well in the 3rd round. That gives us a total of five players.
If we stay put in the 5th we could add two good developmental players........or we could package the two five round draft picks together and move up for a targeted player. That is six or seven good possibilities for the roster and we usually sign several UDFA's. We could have a nice haul this year if we draft well. |
