Re: Trading up, kinda sorta
Great question.
I think it all depends on how we address our first 3 picks and what it took to get there. If we select an impact OL, DL, LB, WR, CB or any combination of those in the first three picks we could trade our 3rd (78) and maybe a safety for a high 2nd or even first to New England, Buffalo or Chicago. But on to Brees - look I've said this for a long time now. I think Drew's replacement is already playing in the NFL. |
Re: Trading up, kinda sorta
greatest fear picking 13
from the bears at 7 down all the teams have the same needs as us and this could be what we are stuck with on the board Randy Gregory Shane Ray Malcom Brown all the safest bets are off the board. not crazy about them pickings for sure. a lot maybe's and could be with each one just like pick 31. |
Re: Trading up, kinda sorta
I could see trading out at 13 for a rd one next year and a 2 and 4th this year. Maybe trade the 31st for a 2 and 4th this year and a 2nd next year. I guess it all depends on how they feel about the depth in the draft this year. Either way I would be fine. I would like to see them use all 5 picks in the first 72 this year though. DE, LB, WR, OL, OL in that order. Use the 2 5ths for a qb and for the love of God a kicker! A lot of options this year!

Re: Trading up, kinda sorta
The more picks the better ... but our window with Drew is diminishing fast. We need to make the picks count, all of them.

What would that cost? Swap firsts and add a 2nd? |
