Rams name Schottenheimer as secondary coach January 24, 2005 ST. LOUIS (AP) -- The St. Louis Rams hired Kurt Schottenheimer as secondary coach Monday. Schottenheimer replaces Perry Fewell, who left the Rams to work for the Chicago Bears. The younger brother of Chargers coach Marty Schottenheimer served as defensive backs coach for Green Bay last season. Before that, he worked as defensive coordinator for the Detroit Lions from 2002-2003, the Washington Redskins in 2001 and the Kansas City Chiefs from 1999-2000. He served as the Chiefs' defensive backs coach from 1995-98 and their special teams coach from 1989-94. His first NFL position was as special teams coach for the Cleveland Browns. |
