Auburn's Campbell wows 'em at practice
Well remember I said he could rise or fall during the workouts. I\'m personally not THAT sold on him being drafted that high, but the scouts and coaches like him a lot. For the millionth time, if he gets drafted high, good for him. He will have worked his arse off in pre-draft workouts and the combine. So far so good and the light is looking bright.
I\'m not fully there yet though saintswhoadi, but I\'m getting closer! Why would we look at him if we don\'t have a need at quarterback... he\'s slotted as a high rounder and we dont need to waste a high pick on him. I never said where someone is slotted determines their ability. You should check out other threads where I praise lower round draft picks. I\'m a big Bockwoldt fan and believe it or not, I thought he performed the best during preseason. He started off on SPECIAL TEAMS *cough* and when injuries amounted, he got his chance to shine. Too bad it wasn\'t until the end of the season. |

I haven\'t heard if anyone from the Saints organization is there, but the media only seems interested in interviewing Gruden and Tice, so who knows... As for Campbell, I\'m still leary. His excellent senior season wasn\'t quite enough to erase my memory of his three previous inconsistent ones. He\'s posted some nice stats, but (as with AB) the stats ain\'t everything. Not to be harsh, but I think he might make a nice career backup. I dunno if I can picture him as an NFL starter. As before, I wouldn\'t complain if we picked him up at round 4 or later. Don\'t wanna reach any higher than that. |

I like cambell as a person and hope he does well..but I woulnd\'t waste a pick on him. After seeing him four years at auburn..if you can get him for a lower pick he will be a good insurance policy..but otherwise wait till he becomes a free agent because it\'s gonna be a few years before he does anything-if then.
